Luisa Beccaria Bridal and Bridesmaid Dress Designer 2012 Collection

Beautiful Bride and Bridesmaid’s Dresses from the Luscious Luisa Beccaria

There are so many reasons I love Pinterest... I constantly stumble across incredibly talented designers, photographers and wedding specialists that I almost certainly would never have found without Pinterest. The latest being Luisa Beccaria……with whom I instantly fell in love with when I saw this beautiful long sleeved wedding dress from her ready to wear 2012 collection. And it doesn’t end there……

The Milanese designer is described as ‘a contemporary romantic whose artistic vision is drawn from an array of cultural experiences fused with vivid imagination.’ The result is a dreamy style at once glamorous, feminine and alluringly sophisticated thanks to her use of soft, muted colors, luxuriously extravagant fabrics, sensual shapes and inimitably chic details.

I love the fluidity and timelessness of her designs – couldn’t you just see Audrey Hepburn wearing this one in Roman Holiday??……

And wouldn’t it be 1950s perfection for a bride looking for something different!

For bridesmaids or perhaps even a bride daring enough to wear black…..

The colours in Luisa’s 2012 Collection are muted but beautifully rich dusky blues, moss greens, as well as vintage teal, mustard and cream……

Once offered the position of ready to wear designer by french design house Chloe, Luisa chose to pursue her own vision, dedicating herself to the creation of her ready to wear collections. She is stocked in the US by top stores such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Linda Dresner and Jeffrey; in the U.K. Browns, Selfridges, The Cross and Mimi. She also has worldwide stores in Germany, Spain, Australia and Asia as well as an all important online presence on www.netaporter.com

Luisa Beccaria's ethereal creations are what every girl would wear on the cover of their own romance novel. The graceful, couture-like designs are effortlessly wearable. Glamorous, elegant and delightfully feminine, her soft, muted colors, luxurious fabrics, sensual shapes and delicious details have seduced the likes of Lucy Lui, Halle Berry and Uma Thurman. The Milanese designer showed her first clothing collection at age 20. In 1984, she debuted her signature line, followed by childrenswear. Luisa lives with and her husband and their five children in an 18th century castle, where she indulges her romantic aesthetic.
