Calvin Klein Fall-Winter 2013-2014 RTW Fashion Show

Mood/style:
Francisco Costa built strong shapes with uncompromising shoulders, bolstered with wide military buckled belts, welt seams plus leather and fabrics with heft.

Bands of leather or vinyl also supplemented the belts to rein in the silhouette, some inset around the top or front of skirts. For example, a muted glen plaid shift was tightly bound and bonded with shiny black vinyl from ribcage to hip. A black double-breasted jacket with shoulder-spanning lapels was accompanied by a vinyl and glove leather pleated skirt. Some skin showed with deep V-necked dresses, bandeau tops and shells that left the back half-bare. Coats and skirts in thick fabric woven like lattice with small perforations also had an element of peek-a-boo
