Salvatore Ferragamo Spring-Summer 2010 Ad Campaign featuring Claudia Schiffer

Salvatore Ferragamo makes great clothing and we have the proof here! Fashion photographer Mario Testino brings us an elegant Claudia Schiffer looking fabulous and very chic for the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign that took place in Monte Carlo, Monaco.  The top German model and actress embodies the traditional aristocrat look with the brand’s timelessly elegant scarves, fabulous shoes and handbags. As most people will say, there is a definite resemblance to Princess Grace of Monaco. No doubt for this ad campaign, Claudia is completely devoted to shoes; the stars of the show! But let’s not forget the other accessories of the brand’s… This is the farewell line of designer Cristina Ortiz, who created these flowy, sophisticated garments before leaving the brand. Some of them, such as the crocodile and python jacquard skirts, were inspired by Africa. We like her sheer dresses in natural tones…

Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013 Ad Campaign

D ecember 18, 2012, NEW YORK By Jessica Minkoff   According to the Mesoamerican calendar, there are three days until the end of the world. The 2012 "prophecies" have crossed most people's minds in the past few weeks—designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka included. Fittingly, the duo let Aztec and Mayan artwork drive their latest pre-fall collection. "For us, we're looking at this not as the end, but as a new beginning," Badgley said. The art lent itself well to the range's embellishments, which appeared on almost every gown. Two peplum styles stood out, one in oyster and one in jet black, with beading on the trim and sunburst motifs on the skirts. A matte jersey gown had a two-dimensional serpent design that wrapped around the bodice. Mischka explained it was felt padding, a technique used by Schiaparelli in the thirties. Elsewhere, beads served as more than just an accent. A fluid tulle number with a chiffon lining was covered in jewels ...

Angelina Jolie Is the Face of Louis Vuitton’s Latest Ad Campaign

Louis Vuitton sure knows how to get the right person to be its face. Earlier, luxury-icons and celebrities like Bono, Sean Connery, Keith Richards and Catherine Deneuve have been the Louis Vuitton’s faces, and this time around, it is Angelina Jolie who would be the face of their latest campaign titled ‘Core Values’. The campaign was shot by Annie Leibovitz and the first ad from the campaign features Angelina Jolie sitting on a wooden boat somewhere in Cambodia. Of course, she has a Louis Vuitton bag over her shoulders and looks as fashionable as ever with her dark hair. In fact, until recently she was spotted with blonde hair, and Angelina doesn’t look bad in dark hair either. LV sure knows how to rope in the best celebrities for their ad campaigns. While Angie sure is a global symbol of humanitarian efforts, adoptions, fight against racism and a bit of glamour thrown in, Louis Vuitton might have chosen her as she is also the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador for many causes. He...

Prada Resort 2012 Ad Campaign featuring Léa Seydoux

Standing out against black silhouettes of bare wall stone, the French beauty Léa Seydoux poses for new Prada Resort 2012 ad campaign showcasing the brand’s classic and feminine collection, such as the lace dresses. Wearing real waterfall accessories in bright and vibrant colors, such as chunky flower necklace set, hair pin and statement bracelet, Léa Seydoux was shot by photographer Steven Meisel who played a lot with shadows and light. I’m personally amazed with the jewelry collection presented in this campaign, so playful and glamour featuring many colors and unique designs, and the clutches collection is adorable too. But really, I’m not impressed with the campaign, and I think Prada could have done much better than this. There’s no luxury and glamour in this campaign, and none of the shots represent the prestige of the brand. The colors are dull, Léa looks boring, and the entire campaign is totally lifeless. Kinda wish Prada would have given more striking and stunning cam...
