Jason Wu has certainly come far from the days of sweet dresses and separates that made his designs First Lady-perfect. He has taken on an edge with leather and bare midriffs having their moment on his Spring 2012 runway, much to the surprise of many. For Pre-Fall 2013, he is upping the sex quotient with bombshell looks fit for Hollywood’s hottest who are already huge fans of his designs: think Gabrielle Union and Diane Kruger to name a few. Inspired by Antonio Lopez and his muses, Grace Jones and Jerry Hall, the collection is full of body-hugging silhouettes, red carpet-ready gowns and cocktail dresses, and enough leather to get you through to Spring.

Don’t you dare think of storing your leather wares! The trend is clearly continuing its reign right into Pre-Fall 2013. Wu places it everywhere from a full-on pleated dress in the edgy material to skinny pants, all paired with lace-up platform sandals and metallic ankle-strap pairs which are sure to be on everyone’s lists for the season.
