Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 Ad Campaign

First Lady favorite Michael Kors is going retro for Pre-Fall 2013 with cat eye sunglasses, cinched waists, and 1950s inspired silhouettes. The designer upped the femininity for the season with an emphasis on the female form in looks that are elegant, chic, and quite covered: the sexiest taste of flesh you get is a thigh-high slit, but the designs are so vibrant that you don’t need much more.

Textured skirt suits, fur collar three quarter-length sleeve coats, brightly colored fur stoles: the offerings are a vintage lover’s dream. The most modern the collection gets comes in the form of leather, whether it be a motorcycle jacket or zip-front pencil skirt. If you have disliked Fall’s smattering of white pumps, then Kors begs for you to reconsider: the pristine footwear are paired with everything from pink ankle-length trousers to red carpet-ready dresses.

Separates really rule the collection: high-waist pants, printed jackets reminiscent of Jackie O, a belted peplum top, and more. These pieces continue Kors’s commitment to wardrobe-building. The women who wear his clothes do everything from jetset to Paris to running Fortune 500 companies, thus their clothing must reflect that.

For the red carpet, there are a plethora of options for fans like First Lady Michelle Obama, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, and others. I’m hopelessly in love with the rose print top and ruffle skirt look!
